Tell us about your career in the fitness and nutrition industry?
After 12 years working in higher education fundraising, I made a career switch to pursue my passion of helping others. I joined the team at CrossFit Nittany and now serve as the General Manager and a coach/trainer. One of the hats I wear includes overseeing our Balanced Habits program.
To date I have been in the fitness industry for 13 years and have been a loyal staff member of the same club for that long. I’ve had hundreds of clients and am an expert in both Personal Training and Nutrition.
What inspires you?
I love connecting with people and playing a role in guiding them to reach their goals whether it be weight loss, strength gains, lifestyle management, etc.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Supporting our members!
I love the look of surprise on a client’s face when they come in for a check-in and can’t believe their progress in inches down or body composition change. They also get so excited about how easy this plan is to follow so I love to hear their successes week over week with restaurant choices and also revamping family favorites. This program empowers them and I love watching them discover that!
What special qualities do you bring to your coaching?
I’m joyful and a good listener. I’m also not afraid to be vulnerable to share my story and struggles and how I manage them day to day. 🙂 No one is perfect, even when you work at a gym! LOL.
What is your favorite kitchen hack?
Keep meals SIMPLE! Weekly meal prep is key. When meals are simple, meal prep takes no time at all. Look ahead and know what your week looks like too, that can help you be aware of potential snags so you can game plan early. Be prepared!
Tell us something that not everyone knows about you?
I ride a motorcycle! I have a bright green Kawasaki Ninja 300, a super fun sport bike!
