Tell us about your career in the fitness and nutrition industry?
I first started out 28 years ago as a group fitness instructor, and I have been the group fitness director for Gold’s Gym Carmel for 19 years. I have always loved helping people reach their goals and loving coaching our members to a healthy lifestyle.
What inspires you?
Helping people inspires me in both career and in life. Helping people stay healthy, eat right and feel good about themselves is so rewarding for not only my clients but for me. My faith in God [also] inspires me to be the best I can be in life and to make a difference whenever I can.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Helping someone who is down on themselves because of their weight or mental state [and] having the ability to coach them to a healthier lifestyle that they love. I also love helping members stay in shape and reach their goals.
What special qualities do you bring to your coaching?
I care from the start; giving [my clients] praise when they have good weekly results and helping them to stay positive when they don’t. I support every single one of our Balanced Habits members as they go through their new lifestyle change. I feel like I’m going through the 28 days with them. 🙂
Please tell us about some of your most memorable client experiences as a Food Coach.
I have a couple, Joe and Jen, who I have coached through 2 Balanced Habits™ 4-Week Programs. Helping them stay on track, stay positive and helping them increase their workouts has been so rewarding! Joe has lost a total of 46 pounds and Jen has lost 34 pounds. They have followed the program so well during their 28 days and in between the Balanced Habits™ 4-Week ProgramS. They have stayed on track , but still allowed themselves to enjoy life. They are looking forward to Fall Balanced Habits™ 4-Week Program and I look forward to coaching them!
Any last thoughts?
I love Balanced Habits and the wonderful results our members at Gold’s Gym Carmel are getting and I enjoy being a coach with my co worker Brianna. We work very well together! We make a great team.
