Tell us about your career in the fitness and nutrition industry?
I have been working for Gold’s Gym for 9 years now, and while I am not a Personal Trainer, I strive to deliver the very best customer service to our members. Becoming a Food Coach at first was out of my comfort zone but has taught me so much and has broadened my horizons in the Fitness Industry.
What inspires you?
I love to help people. You can change someone’s day just by giving a smile and being kind. It doesn’t cost you anything.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
When members reach their fitness goals. It’s amazing to see their transformations. All their hard work pays off.
What special qualities do you bring to your coaching?
Veronica and I did the program and became Food Coaches together. We work extremely well with one another and are able to bring the very best coaching to our clients. I know when I have a question, I can turn to her for support.
What are your most memorable client experiences as a Food Coach?
One of my clients just reached the under 200 pound mark. Seeing the excitement on his face, makes being a Food Coach so rewarding. Another client just wants to maintain her current weight and enjoys our weekly coaching sessions. Your clients goals become your goals, and you work on reaching them together.
Then one of our members Erin, who I consider now family did Balanced Habits™ 4-Week Program. At first she had a hard time trusting me and the program, but once she saw her week 1 results, she fully trusted in me and the program. Now she gets the monthly recipes and encourages other members join the program.
What was your favorite food that you found with Balanced Habits Recipes?
I love that Tequila Chicken and Avocado Hummus is on the program! Both dishes are great to bring to parties and It’s a great way to show people you can still have the foods you enjoy while on the program.
Tell us something that not everyone knows about you?
I’m a Eucharistic Minister for my parish, I love Country Music, I’m a Boston Fan and I’ve run a Half Marathon.
