Tell us about your career in the fitness and nutrition industry?

I’ve always played sports, but around 2012 I started lifting weights in the gym more seriously. I absolutely love the healthy lifestyle of lifting heavy and eating for your goals. I am a flexible dieter who tracks my macros and believes the best diet is the one that becomes “the way you eat” vs. a “diet.”

What inspires you?

After transforming my own body, mindset and way of living through strength training and proper nutrition, I received lots of requests from both men and women to help them transforming their lives. To help them become healthier, happier and more confident. I have such compassion for people that I am passionate about changing their lives for the better. The way I do that is through helping to change their overall lifestyle in health, fitness, nutrition, as well as their overall mindset.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Seeing someone’s life impacted so greatly, or changed even, and having had any part in that, fires me up. Because even if just one person’s life is changed or positively impacted, then everything I do, is worth it. Besides that, I have an inner drive that I can’t even explain. I am so passionate about what I do, I will never settle for anything less than my best. And when I feel I reach my best, I push for a new best.

What special qualities do you bring to your coaching?

I believe we all learn a little differently, so the same approach won’t necessarily work for everyone. That is why I love to understand the deeper psychology at play, so I can say the right things in the right ways at the right times. It allows me to really connect and help someone through their body transformations one step at a time.

What are your most memorable client experiences as a Food Coach?

I love the look of surprise on a client’s face when they come in for their check-in and can’t believe they dropped inches and changed their body composition when still eating the foods they love!

What is your favorite Food Hack?

One of the most important things you can do to improve your nutrition is to understand the big three macronutrients in food (protein, carbs and fats). Knowing how many grams of proteins, carbs and fats you’re eating daily is a good first step on the road to truly eating healthy.

Tell us something that not everyone knows about you?

Here are some things that I love, in no particular order: My family, random acts of kindness, massages, people who can laugh at themselves, good listeners, inspirational podcasts, warm weather, any type of competition, the feeling of soreness after a good workout, and emotionally intelligent people.

Any last words?

I believe there is no “end”. Every time you reach a goal, you start your journey towards a new goal. 99% of life is in the “journey” stage. 1% is the time when the goal is achieved, then you start back at 0 towards the new goal. That’s why I believe it’s so important to enjoy the journey and enjoy the process every step of the way.
